$210K to be in Top 10%
For moms who manage money, meals, and the messy middle.
Happy Monday! Today is going to be a great day and I’m so glad you’re here. 🥰
I recently read an article that said to be in the wealthiest 10% of Americans, you need to earn at least $210,000 a year or have a net worth of roughly $1.8 million. For context, the U.S. median income in 2024 is $83,730. That was pretty eye-opening. After reading it, I went back and reviewed the anonymous money confessionals you’ve shared with me and had a true wow moment…my readers are rich AF. Or at least those of you who’ve submitted are! Because of that, I’m spending this week reviewing the survey. I want to dig into the nitty-gritty and tweak the questions so they better reflect what you actually want to read and talk about. I’ll report back next week with the updated version, so keep an eye out 😀
As we hit the remaining two weeks to the new year, I’m feeling that familiar squeeze for time. My to-do list never seems to end, and the one thing I could really use more of is…time. Is there anything you wish you had more of right now? I’d love to hear from all 1,170 of you so let me know in the poll at the end!
And a quick look back at last week’s poll: 60% of you said you’re almost done with your holiday shopping- go you! This was the earliest I’ve ever finished shopping, and not being in full panic-mode this year felt so good.
Let’s get into it:
🍽️ What’s for Dinner
Reverse-Seared Steak - My husband has mastered the reverse-seared and this is similar to a process he follows. He makes a mean rosemary butter to go along with it and my kids love it (hello iron and protein!).
Coconut Curry Chicken Meatballs - I love this recipe for an easy weeknight meal. Serve over a bed of rice or ramen noodles for your whole family to enjoy.
Elk Bolognese Sauce - Anytime elk is on sale, I buy in bulk and stash in our freezer. It is so cold this week and elk bolognese sounds like the perfect meal. So easy to whip up on a busy weeknight and I love to add in as many vegetables as possible to a meat sauce.
Cream of Mushroom Chicken Skillet - Cream of mushroom is such a nostalgic ingredient for me and this recipe sounds super easy and yummy. Would go perfect with mashed potatoes for a kid-friendly dinner.
Creamy Pesto Ground Turkey Skillet - I haven’t been this excited about a new recipe I’ve found in a while. Cannellini beans, artichoke hearts, pesto- YUM! Give me all the fiber and protein in a one pan meal.

I love all of the cute accessories for men and women from this brand. I gifted my husband a classic bow tie from here over six years ago and it has kept so well. A fun belt would also make a great gift for any men in your life!
One of my last swaps from toxic to non-toxic has been dish soap and I’ve been loving this bio enzyme liquid dish soap. Breaks down all of the stubborn food stains and residues and I’m super impressed.
I own so many hats and beanies but I can’t stop getting more? You need one for every occasion/color scheme/location/etc! This cashmere pom pom beanie would be such a good addition to any closet.
I love lighting a candle in the kitchen when I’m cooking something with a strong odor and this non toxic candle has been my go to. The smell lights up the entire room and I love the fragrance.
With patented posture-correcting technology, this bra has Taylor Swift’s stamp of approval and that’s all I needed to know. I seriously find myself with better posture and instant alignment when I’m wearing mine.
Thanks again for being here. If you love it, forward this to a mom friend—more voices make this better. And if you ever want to share, vent, or suggest something, just hit reply. I’m reading every email!
Woo you next week,
Ann
