Come for the dinner ideas. Stay for the confession.
For moms who manage money, meals, and the messy middle.
Hi there—welcome to the first issue!
I’m so glad you’re here. 🥰
Every Monday, you’ll find a little mix of what so many of us think about (and rarely say out loud): how we're spending, what we’re feeding everyone, and what’s actually making our lives easier. Thank you for being one of the 310 people to join me on this exciting adventure!
Let’s get into it:
🍽️ What’s for Dinner
Marry Me Chicken Quinoa Skillet - One skillet, gluten free, and my kids also love- that’s a win. Prep all the ingredients the day before for an even easier weeknight meal.
Greek Meatballs with Tzatziki Sauce - This is a fam fave that I constantly go back to. Make it easier on yourself by prepping the meatballs ahead and getting your favorite store-bought tzatziki.
Panko Honey Mustard Chicken - My entire family really enjoys this easy protein and veggie combo.
4 Ingredient Tuna Casserole - I don’t care what you say, canned tuna is delicious! Options to add more ingredients if desired, but this is a simple and satisfying weeknight dinner.
Ground Beef Baked Tacos - This is the best taco recipe and everyone I’ve ever made it for agrees.

Content: In the last few months, I've been on a health journey and getting multiple labs done to figure out if there's an issue or if it's just my hormones. I came across a really helpful podcast episode recently and I think all women should listen to it! (This is not an affiliate link)
Mom Product: I went on a girls trip to the beach a couple weeks ago and I got fried on the first day. After much research, this is the EWG verified sunscreen I’ve been lathering on and enjoying.
Kid Product: This splash pad is a summer must have for kids. Just screw in your garden hose and you’re all set- no complicated setup or tools required. With fun water jets, it’s the perfect way for little ones to cool off and burn energy!
💸 In This Economy? (Mom’s Version)
This Mom of Two From Indiana Has a $220K Household Income and She’s All About Kids Eat Free Nights to Save Money
In This Economy? is a weekly series showcasing the costs of motherhood from real moms. Want to share your story anonymously? Submit here — no names, no judgment.
Age: Lates 30s
Kids: 3 year old and 1 year old
Job: Physical therapist/clinical mentor
Own or rent: Own- $3,000/month
Childcare or daycare expense: $1,000/month
Recent purchase you regret: Probably some sort of clothes that I don’t wear
Splurge and don’t regret: Artipoppe baby carrier (currently $440-840 on website)
Best “mom sanity” splurge: Wine and DoorDash
Weekly spend on groceries: $100-250
Managing family budget: Dave Ramsey method but also should be more strict with ourselves!
Ways to save money on kid-related expenses: Kids eat free nights, rewards anywhere we go, shopping multiple sites or stores for the same item to price compare
Money advice for other moms: You probably have enough clothes in the size that they’re currently wearing.
Finish the sentence: “In this economy, I still somehow ____.” (Ugh, I’ve typed and retyped this many times because there are SO many options) In this economy, I still somehow feel privileged to live the life that we do despite its own financial challenges and fears.
Thanks again for being here. If you love it, forward this to a mom friend—more voices make this better. And if you ever want to share, vent, or suggest something, just hit reply. I’m reading every email!
Woo you next week,
Ann
